The team at Dental Nurse Network are proud to announce that our students have achieved 100% pass rates in both our NEBDN National Diploma in Dental Nursing course and our NEBDN Oral Health Education course. This excellent news follows on from our efforts to make sure that we remain an ethically led company which fully supports students – we are proud to provide a good learning experience which reduces the likelihood that students will need to resit exams. We are excited about what this means for us, but also about what it means for the students on our courses. 

It’s no secret that things have been much harder in the dental industry since the pandemic. There has been a significant increase in the workload, with extra infection control duties, more demanding patients, and higher targets to be met. This is all after the redeployment scheme saw dental nurses become one the largest group of registrants – but without any of the benefits. With rising dissatisfaction in the job, and many dental nurses leaving the profession altogether, it’s time to look more closely at what can be done to improve working conditions for dental nurses across the country. 

As a dental care professional, it can be easy to feel as though your voice is lost among the crowd and not often heard. Thankfully, with the GDC making commitments to their Corporate Strategy for 2023–2025, there is now an opportunity – the first of many, in fact – to get involved and provide feedback on the proposed changes. 

DNN’s free online Zoom support sessions for dental nurses are back. These support sessions include enhanced verifiable CPD. We aim to run one free support session every two to three months. 

Throughout the pandemic, DNN provided free online support sessions for dental nurses, and we would like to continue the trend this year.
