dental nursing a career path?

Hi, it is definitely NOT a 'meantime' sort of job! lol. It can lead nurses onto other professions/areas of dentistry but is also a career within itself. The pay is generally not as good as it should be, anywhere from min wage to £13 ph. Those on the top end of pay are pretty few and far between! A correspondence course may work out as the cheapest option, however, you must be pretty self-sufficient and motivated to work on your own

Would you say a dental nurse is a good career? Or is it a temporary job, that you must try to progress from or for the meantime sort of job?

What is the pay like? What are the cheapest courses going?
