Surgery Cleaning

We have one dentist and one nurse/receptionist [me].

We had a cleaner and she was dismissed. I know do everything.

We have a waiting room, office, toilet. surgery, plaster room and LDU room. Guess who cleans them all. I start at 8.30 and finish 6pm. Cleaning is done when there is a failed appointment.

And my pay is not the best. But if I did not like the job I would have left a long time ago. Better the devil you know.

We have a cleaner, but if she's off we have to do it all. Makes for a long day & no we don't get paid any extra for doing it.

We have cleaners come in and do the waiting room, reception, toilets, changing areas, x ray room, staff room, kitchen and surgery floors.

The only things they do not touch are the surgery surfaces and equipment etc. which is obviously left to us nurses.

We Have no cleaner
We all chip in and look after our surgeries.
The Receptionist dose the rest.
Guess there are quite a lot of practices with no cleaners.

Hi

We do to do our floors but we do get paid £12 an hour, so really i don't mind. It's the same case as always, dental nurses still are not seen as professionals.

We have cleaners that come in. Us nurses only do the clinical cleaning.

Really the only thing a dental nurse is responsible for is specialist pieces of dental equipment. At our practice we have cleaners to do reception, toilets and surgery floors. If cleaning is not in your contract I can't see how your boss can make you do it.

How many surgeries have cleaners that come in to do dusting, hoovering, cleaning bathrooms etc..?
Our employer wants us nurses to do this at no extra pay, are we the only one
in this situation?
