Hi Xyanthe

Keep up the good work.... I know the Dental Nurse Network is also trying help. It is a lot of money to pay but to get to the bottom of this is a lot harder then most dental nurse think.

I will stand by you 100 % . ;)

I have no problem with paying an annual retention fee...

But I do think that the Dental Nurse Annual Retention fee should NOT be the the same as a Hygienist's/Therapists, Technicians.
They have the potential to earn so much more than Nurse's, so why should we be paying the same when we get paid far less, even if Nurse's are working part time they still have to pay the same amount of money as full time Nurse's - HOW CAN THIS BE RIGHT?
I love my job, put I think £96 is extortionate for a nurse to pay.....
I have already tried setting up an online petition for No. 10 and got over 500 signatories, but the government didn't want to know, saying it is upto the GDC.
I havent given up yet!
I would be interested to hear what other Dental Nurses think, please leave your comments.....
