Considering becoming a self-employed Locum Dental Nurse?

BTW it seems a lot of nurses have returned since the dreaded COVID SOP was revoked 27 May. We still use all our air purifiers. But other than that we immediately returned to normal :) Apart from our hygienist who still opts for the full gown and FFP3

I went self-employed for a few years. I invoiced daily. The main thing is to choose your customers wisely. if they decide not to pay, how will you compel them?

In England 20/hour would be the expected rate. Agencies charge the practice 23/hour for a nurse, 22/hour for a receptionist.

Good morning,

I am considering going alone and becoming a self-employed locum dental nurse in South Wales.

I cant seem to find any when searching on Facebook, but a lot in England?

Are any of you locums? Would love to get some tips on charging? Have you become a lot more busier, as it seems nearly 50% of Dental Nurses have not stayed on the GDC register this year - as have left the profession since Covid.

Thanks :)

Sarah
