city and guilds licentiate in dental nursing

If you go onto the BADN website and at the bottom of the first page you will find out all about the licenciate, the award is at a supervisory/junior managment level and mapped to level 4 on the National Qualification framework (NQF)

I have just been browsing dental nurse websites and keep coming across this title. either nurses that have it or online forms to apply for it.

What is it, how do you get it and what's the benefit.
