NEBDN vs NVQ lvl 3 ?

The NVQ level 3 in oral healthcare is a qualification that has been approved by the NEBDN. The NVQ however is only recognised in the UK, whereas the NEBDN National Diploma may be recognized abroad and in Australia, Canada and the USA.

NVQ Is an apprenticeship scheme which means you learn whilst working.
the NEBDN (which I did) is a national diploma where you go to college either one evening or one day a week to complete your qualification.
NVQ are usually paid less until qualified however you have no ties to the practice,.
NEBDN is usually paid for by the practice however you usually have to pay this back with time ( I was tied in for 2 years at the practice, I stayed for 5!!)

I heard the NEBDN is better on the CV - but I don't know how true this is really as a qualified nurse is a qualified nurse!!!

I hope I helped a little. x
