Worth checking the scope of practice document on GDC website.
Without certification she should not be carrying out impressions on patients as there is no satisfactory proof of her competence.

Can you take impressions if you have not completed/passed impression course? I have just interviewed a possible candidate for a post and she has done impressions on staff members but not submitted coursework.
In other words, is she working outwith her scope of practice if she has not got a cert proof? Slightly unsure with this one...
