Returning to surgery

7 years 7 months ago #7865 by nursewiggy
Hi Holly
Have you been completely out of nursing or have you kept your registration going? and your CPD?
a lot has changed in 5 years especially with the CQC now. a lot more involved and constant changes in regulations.
nurses now need to have their own indemnity.. some practices offer it within the surgery insurance (like mine) but I don't know how much it costs otherwise. it might be good to read through the new HTM 01-05. (boring I know but very helpful)

don't be frightened though I'm sure you'll pick it all back up in no time.

good luck :)

Hi everyone

Just wondering if there's any nurses out there with advice for a nurse returning to surgery after 5 years?

I'm stupidly excited but also terrified so if anyone out there has any tips I'd be super grateful
