Hi there

Yes you can assemble the cartridge and syringe if you feel competent to do so, I was certainly trained in doing.
my trainee however doesnt feel confident in doing this so the dentist assembles at our practice. he is happier knowing that he assemble and disassembles cuts down on needle stick injurys

We have a trainee and her assessor says she can as long as it's clean but we've been told we may get the wrong LA but the dentist says which they want and check anyway, I was always under the impression we could assemble ready for use

The nurses in my practice do. Do a risk assessment and training and it should be fine.

Hi can I ask what is the policy on sharps we have the unsafe system in place I know we are not allowed to dispose or dismantle the used LA but are we able to put it together ready for the dentist to use??
