Flu vaccines

8 years 2 months ago #7121 by kittykat
Could the GP have told your trainee that she wasn't entitled to a free vaccine? This happened to me because although I work at an NHS practice I'm not directly employed by the NHS so I wasn't entitled to a free vaccination; however my principal dentist is directly employed by the NHS so was entitled to a free vaccine.
My practice paid for all employees to have the vaccine privately.

In my experience the gmp is very unhelpful in these occupational flu or other vaccine related issues. I would contact your local Occupational Health department. Hope this helps. :-)

Hi guys
wondering if anyone can help me here.
I have a trainee dental nurse at present, who has been to enquire about having a flu vaccine and has been told that we as dental nurses do not now need them for our occupation???.

can someone advise if this is now correct or is the local gp incorrect.

Thanks
