Audits

8 years 5 months ago #6968 by Carla1986
Hi,

IPS audit- 6 monthly
radiography Quality assurance- always recording
Patient record- 6 monthly
Waiting times- every 3 months (as we have issues with this)
Audits of all check list--- eg, decon room check list/fire log checklist- every 3-6 months

then from time to time implement are own, such as auditing whether sharps bin are used correctly, which are generally done every 3 months if changes are required, 6 if not.

Its just continuous, and probably almost a full time job for one person!

Hi Kasia, there are some great guides for audit available FOC. Not sure which part of the country you practice?
Here in Wales we have a section of our Postgraduate Dental Deanery devoted to audit. You can have a look and see if this helps? www.walesdeanery.org - go to 'dental' and then audit is signposted from here. You ought to be able to download some ideas to help you?
Most practice teams do infection control, patient satisfaction, smoking cessation.
Good luck - :)
