Hi Becky,

I done the hygienist course 3 yrs ago after been a nurse for 16 yrs it was a great course to do and I enjoyed it, with the knowledge from been a dental nurse I didn't fine it difficult, as for finding a job when I first finished I found a job within a few weeks but had to wait for my reg docs to come throw which took 6 weeks :( .......

There is an increase in jobs now as the economy is getting better and dentist are employing again.

do the x-ray course it will increase your chances of been excepted its not that expensive about £500

Hi,
Im considering going to uni to do hygiene, would really love to do it, but after researching it a bit there doesn't seem to be many jobs with more than a few hours a week!! Especially in my area :( anybody know of any nurses that have gone to do hygiene and how easy/difficult it was to get employment?
