Hi
I have recently done those plus radiography.
You do need to be qualified and gdc registered.

Hi - agree with the other response. I provide fluoride varnish application training and part of the course requires you to submit 10 case studies applying FV to patients. You would not be able to do this unless you are qualified and GDC registered

Hi there

To the best of my knowledge you have to be qualified nurse to be trained and able to take impressions and to apply fluoride. There are limits to training dental nurses and your dentist will have to wait until your qualified and look into training for you, gdc scope of practice gives info on what you can do when qualified and registered.

Hey fellow nurses,

I am currently a trainee nurse however the dentist I work with would love it if I could take impressions and apply fluoride. I was just wondering if I need extra qualifications for this or can I just get extra training (by the dentist) and be signed off to do this.

Thanks for your help
