Impressions Trays

10 years 2 months ago #6005 by Ekw
Hi there,

I always remembered that the lower tray looks like a horseshoe with a handle, the upper has more surface area than the lower so it'd cover the palate remember you wouldn't cover your patients tongue taking a an imp, hope. That helps!

A lower tray (U shaped) has a space where the tongue would fit.
An upper tray has plastic across the space so that you get the impression to cover the palate.
Hope that helps. :-)

Could anyone help me in determining the difference between an upper and lower impressions tray as i am looking at them and they
just look the same to me

My practice mainly uses the plastic disposable ones
