Hi there,

I always remembered that the lower tray looks like a horseshoe with a handle, the upper has more surface area than the lower so it'd cover the palate remember you wouldn't cover your patients tongue taking a an imp, hope. That helps!

A lower tray (U shaped) has a space where the tongue would fit.
An upper tray has plastic across the space so that you get the impression to cover the palate.

Could anyone help me in determining the difference between an upper and lower impressions tray as i am looking at them and they
just look the same to me

My practice mainly uses the plastic disposable ones
