Dental Nurse Locum Work

Hi Teesey,

I can't say I know any locum sites to put you onto, but what I can say is earlier today I googled my local job centre and then searched dental nurse jobs in my area. I didn't find any jobs but just by clicking on the different links within the area I found a few locum dental nurse sites. As I said I can't give you names as 1) you're not from my area so I don't know how far these locums extend to and 2) I didn't take much notice of them because I am looking for full time permanent work.

I was wondering if anyone can help me here?

I work 2 days a week for a large NHS Practice in Cheshire and have done for 3 years now. But I have been thinking of doing some locum work on the days that I don't work for this practice. I was lucky enough to work for a surgery 3 times at locum rate of £90.00 for the days that I worked, covering for a locum that I vaguely know who couldn't cover so asked me to step in, but this surgery which is private has now taken on a apprentice nurse who they are putting through the NVQ route as cheaper.

So I have been scouring the internet to see if any locum/temping dental nurse agencies but to my surprise i cant find any!!!!!!!!

Does anyone know of a site that deals with locum nurse across the country or is it just in the likes of London?

Any help would be appreciated
