Hi,

At our practice we use chlorhexidine (aka corsodyl) or if patient is allergic to this, sodium hypochlorite and water.

Hi there

Our lab don't require us to "disinfect" our lab work but we do place plates and retainers in a pot with chlorhexidine as this can be used INA patients mouth anyway.

Hope this is helpful

Hi I'm not sure what you mean by 'disinfecting imps before putting them in patients mouths'? When would you be doing this? If you mean appliances, then how about diluted Milton as long as it rinsed well afterwards

Hi, can you advise me on what you use to disinfect impressions before placing it it the patients mouth, as HTM requires?

We are using labs that would disinfect impressions before sending them back to us but recently we started using one that doesn't and we're wondering which disinfectant is suitable.. all of them have a COSHH warning label.. Many thanks for help!
