Did you try dental protection? Ideally, you should register with the GDC as soon as you qualify.

I've just recently qualified (July) and started at a new practice, my boss says I need indemnity cover asap but I've looked at BADN and you need a GDC number? registering takes bloody ages, is there one where you can get cover with a GDC number pending?xxx
