visors

11 years 1 month ago #4715 by ShowMeYourTeeth
Hi, I've had conflicting advice:
a) I have been told to use a visor for all treatment and wipe it in line with the clear down after each patient (unless high risk or visibly scratched)
b) I have also been told that wearing face mask + prescription glasses is ok for most treatments (unless patient is high risk or there may be a lot of spray - front fillings, for example)

Have any of you been told this?

Hello,
Yes, I agree with other answers.
Unless...you have a mask with an attached visor, then it should be changed after every patient (or earlier if needed).

Hi there, Visors should be changed after every session and wipes after each patient :)

Hi there

In hospital we will usually change our visors at the end of every session but if it's visibly soiled then we will change it before. Being mindful we only see 3-4 patients in a session so in a practice you may well not want to wait till the end of your session and may well change before the end.
I hope this helps at all
