Bleaching

Hello,
There are a few things to think about here.
1. Are you qualified to: recognise any problems ,
anything of all that can go wrong,
to make a prescription for patients for whitening as you can you assess their dental history, understand it and being able to treat anything that can go wrong?
If not NO, you cannot do it.
2. Would you like to have that on your conscience, if some things went wrong?Of course not. So, No.
3. Dentist associations are looking in to how to clamp down on unqualified teeth whitening places as it is not allowed, it is illegal.
4.Will any insurance cover you? You would have problems and patients complaints. How are you going to deal with them?
5. The bleach, where would you get it legally?

Now, if you are a dental nurse you know this already really.
As you do mention yourself it is not the thing to do( as you have checked it out) so well done for realising!

What if I was thinking of setting up a teeth whitening business from home. This would be seperate from my other job. Does anyone know what the law is on teeth whitening, I've been reading a lot on the net that this is illegal?

Could a dental nurse do teeth whitening from home if she had a referral from a dentist?
