The NEBDN-accredited certificate in Oral Health Education course is for registered dental nurses who want to become competent and confident oral health educators. Exams are held in March and September of each year.
Record of Competence (RoC)
A) Assessment of seven patients, four of whom should each be seen twice. View patient groups here.
B) Production of a detailed written case study (with a word count of between 2250-2750 words) for one of the patients.
C) Completion of an additional project, to include either an exhibition demonstrating knowledge of the syllabus and a record of continuing professional development relating to oral health education. This may include meetings, courses, further reading and research.
