Nurses and dentist relationship!

Hi,
all our hygienists, therapists, dentists and nurses are eating and having a "brew" together. They also come along at nights out, dinners etc.
Jokes and small teasing 'elements' are constantly happening
Sometimes someone wants a bit of time on their own, to make a phone-call or so but that is all right, it is nothing wrong in that.

We are all humans, all in the same category of work so, make it as good as possible.

P.S We also have very good patients, that can take or make a joke and I guess that helps a lot!

Hi, I've a very good working relationship with the dentist I regularly work with, we get on very well and work 4 handed, she's very kind and supportive of all our dental nurses, has come to work with lunch for everyone when weve had meetings and has often texted me on her way to work asking if want a coffee (we do a clinic at another hospital on our own) which is nice. On the other side of things we háček another consultant who is lovely but doesn't get involved in any meeting lunches or drinks after work just keeps herself separate but we are all used to that so it doesn't bother anybody now. I think some people are very private socially and keep work apart from them outside work.

Yes, we socialised with all the dentists. It was on all different levels but mostly non work related
What you have to remember is not all people want to be like this with work colleagues, it's probably nothing personal it might just be that they don't fancy it or they might do it occasionally.

Yeah, we all get on well together. We eat lunch, go on nights out, generally have a laugh between patients etc. We are quite a small practice though so maybe that makes a difference.

HELLO DENTAL NURSES!
I was just wondering, are you all close to your dentists? i.e. do you eat lunch together, have social occasions regularly out of work, text etc?
The question is because we get on well with our dentists (unless its March - UDAs) and do all of the above, but recently we have a new dentist who seems to have distanced themselves from us and isn't really interested in socialising. I was interested as when i move to a new practice I'd like to know the ratio!

Hugs x
