VT and Nurse Day

Unfortunately I don't think you can claim anything back if you employers didn't pay for the complete day, I do know that if it is CPD for your workplace then sometimes tax breaks kick in but im not sure as they paid for this. best call the tax office and make sure.

Hi All,

I recently had to go on a dentist and nurse day with the VT at my practice for a study day. My employers have paid for me for a full working day (I would of been working anyway), but they won't pay me for travel expenses or for the car park ticket. The ticket was £10 and I did 70 miles. Does anybody know if I can claim anything back for this and if so how do I go about it?
