The aim of this course is to provide training for registered dental nurses to become competent and confident in applying fluoride varnish and plaque indices under the prescription of a dentist or as part of a structured oral health programme.

The course is designed for those currently working in a dental practice setting who are considering their career progression and are keen to work more closely with patients and form an important link between their patients and the clinical team. 

This accredited course has been designed to support registered dental nurses who are looking to progress their careers into a leadership role in the clinical environment.

The Advanced Impression-Taking course teaches registered dental nurses, hygienists and therapists how to take alginate, silicone (putty) and bite impressions (silicone and wax).

The aim of this course is to enable oral health educators to incorporate the use of the plaque control record confidently and competently into their appointments in order to help motivate patients in improving their oral hygiene.
