Aims
This activity aims to inform dental nurses about changes to the way we carry out our continuing professional development (CPD).
Learning Outcomes
- State the date the CPD changes come into effect.
- Describe the changes created by enhanced CPD.
- Define what a personal development plan (PDP) is.
- Explain why a personal development plan is important and ways in which it can help with career progression.
- Consider how to plan for time to complete a personal development plan.
- List the requirements of the General Dental Council (GDC) in relation to PDP and CPD.
- State how to record and submit data to the GDC.
