How many CPD?

GDC Registered Dental Nurses must complete 50 verifiable and 100 non-verifiable CPD within a 5-year CPD cycle. Out of the 50 verifiable hours you should complete:

  • 10 hours (10 CPD) of Medical Emergencies
  • 5 hours (5 CPD) of Disinfection & Decontamination
  • 5 hours  (5 CPD) of Radiation Protection

The GDC recommend that you that you keep up to date by doing CPD (verifiable or non-verifiable/general) in the following areas.

  • Legal and ethical issues
  • Complaints handling
  • Oral Cancer: Early detection
