Hey,

University of Essex offer a two year course called oral health science. This qualifies you as a dental hygienist.

Cardiff university and Portsmouth university also offer dental hygiene courses. :)

Hi there!

I'm wanting to know if it is still possible to take a uni course to become a hygienist but not a therapist. I've noticed all the courses are for hygiene and therapy, and therapy is just not something that I'm interested in. I am keen in taking the oral health educator course is this something that could help me as well?

Also, does anybody know the exact job role of an oral health educator, the things you can and can't do?

Thankyou in advance to anyone who answers :)
