Bikram Yoga- Great for posture! PDF Print

Stretching into unimaginable positions in a room with a temperature of 105° doesn’t sound like the most enjoyable way to spend an hour, well welcome to the world of Bikram yoga.

Improving your conversation skills PDF Print

iStock_000006258804XSmallMost people are quite apprehensive about making conversation with strangers and individuals they don’t know well.  Follow this advice to making speaking in public easy.

1/ Relax by breathing slowly and then keep eye contact with the person you are speaking to.  This shows the other person that they have your attention and displays a willingness to listen which makes people feel more involved.

2/ If it is a group conversation, aim to join in without immediately becoming the centre of attention. Asking a general question will help you to relax as people will feel you are part of the group.

How to have a stress-free day PDF Print

1/ Plan your working day

armsopenYou should make realistic self-targets to go alongside targets that have been set by your peers. Looking for ‘small satisfactions’ during the job and accepting that yesterday cannot be repeated or improved, will help to concentrate the mind on the day ahead.

2/ Admit who you really are

Accepting who you are is the best way to manage stress, admit you are less than perfect but concentrate instead on what you can do well and try to improve on the weaknesses that you have. You can do this by looking at people you admire and identify their weaknesses to acknowledge that you are not alone.

How to improve your memory? PDF Print

By learning how to retain information in a particular way it is  easier to recall and helps you to develop an almost photographic memory.

Mass information- The brain is most effective if you study for a period of 20 to 40 minutes, interspersed with regular breaks. Review the information you have taken in before moving on to another section.  Re-examine the material within an hour after and go over the material for the next few days until it is firmly ingrained in your long-term memory.

Nutritional Advice in West London PDF Print
NUTRITIONAL  ADVICE  IN  WEST  LONDON  ( W1, W3/ W4)
(evening and weekend appointments are available )
WHAT IS NATUROPATHIC NUTRITIONAL APPROACH?
Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy  seeks to address the cause of a problem and not just its superficial manifestation. Take for example chronic skin conditions, a very common complaint today - most develop as a result of internal malfunction. The real problem is usually more deeply rooted “under the skin”.  Re-applying antibiotic or steroid creams that are so often prescribed for such conditions, only mask the surface symptoms and push the problem deeper inside without addressing the real reason behind it... so symptoms go away for a while ...only to return a while later...and often in a more aggressive form... CONDITIONS  THAT  RESPOND  PARTICULARLY  WELL
Digestive Problems (IBS, diarrhea, constipation, bloating, indigestion, feeling “heavy and dull” after meal etc)
Chronic pain and inflammation of different etiology including arthritis
Skin conditions ( acne, eczema, psoriasis, dry and itchy skin)
Fatigue and low energy
Weight problems
Female and male reproductive and hormonal disorders
Sleeping disorders, stress, anxiety
High Cholesterol
Low immunity
Allergies, food sensitivities
Candida
As a Naturopathic Nutritionist, I aim to look at a person as a whole and not as a collection of individual diseases.
This aim is to see  the bigger picture of one’s health status , and to understand if there is a general lifestyle, or perhaps a more specific factor,  that is affecting one’s wellbeing .After your consultation, you will receive a clear step by step plan as to how to adjust your diet and lifestyle in order to “break the pattern” . If required, tests can be arranged, and necessary supplements will be suggested .
I do not support harsh dieting or “eating grass” ideas, the method I use is gentle and natural and brings long-term results QUALIFICATION  DETAILS Fully Qualified Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist ( CNM ), Member of BANT (The British Association of Nutritional Therapists
